On February 12, 2025, our association hosted a special breakfast at the River Café restaurant, an event dedicated to recognizing individuals who have been fundamental pillars in the success of our organization. This occasion provided us with the opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to those whose support and dedication have made it possible for our mission to move forward. During the breakfast, we presented important recognitions to two members of our association for their tireless commitment and work: • Luis Ignacio Zúñiga, Director of the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac, received a well-deserved recognition for his constant support over 15 years. His leadership has been key in the growth of our association and the consolidation of our projects. • María Elena Ramos Castillón, our Treasurer and close friend, was also recognized for her valuable contribution over 12 years. Her support and dedication to our cause have been invaluable. We were especially honored to have the presence of one of our most outstanding alumni, Rosario Aracely Velázquez Ramírez. Rosario, who studied Licenciatura en Psicología at the Centro Universitario de la Costa with an impressive GPA of 97.7, was part of the Becas Vallarta program for 11 years. Today, Rosario works in Human Resources at AlfaTec, a construction company specializing in electrical and sanitary installations. Her story is a testament to the importance of educational support in achieving professional success. At the event, we also had the pleasure of having our volunteers, María Concepción and Susana Bárbara Jaqueline García Peña, an ex-scholar, who have generously given their time and effort to support our activities. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to Gabriela Sánchez, the daughter of the owner of River Café, for her generous support and contribution to the success of this event. Her hospitality and commitment to our cause have been instrumental. This breakfast was not only an opportunity to recognize those who have supported us, but also to reflect on all that has been accomplished so far and the challenges that still lie ahead. At Becas Vallarta, we remain committed to our mission of offering educational opportunities to young people in our region, and we are convinced that, with the support of everyone, we will continue making a significant difference in the lives of many students.
