On Sunday, June 9th, Becas Vallarta held a meeting full of enthusiasm and commitment at the Los Mangos Library. The event gathered 52 scholarship recipients from 2nd and 3rd-year secondary school, along with their families, to welcome the new members of the program and kick off a new cycle of educational opportunities.

The president of the association, Mariel de Fregoso, accompanied by the Becas Vallarta team (comprising Imelda Barraza, Maria Concepción Barraza, and Janeth Limón), led the meeting with warmth and enthusiasm. During the event, the new scholarship recipients were welcomed into a community of talented and dedicated young individuals striving to achieve their educational goals.

A highlight of the meeting was the presence of Erick Langarica, the head of the uniform department at the department store LANS, who introduced the shoes that will be given to the scholarship recipients during the scholarship award ceremony in August. He also addressed questions and provided detailed instructions on the process of collecting the shoes at LANS store.

Beyond the distribution of uniforms, the meeting served as a space to:

• Inform the young individuals about the history and mission of Becas Vallarta: Scholarship recipients were reminded of the association’s commitment to their future, emphasizing the importance of education and the positive impact it has on their lives.
• Emphasize the obligations of the scholarship recipients: The young individuals were reminded of the importance of maintaining good academic performance, adhering to the association’s rules, and making the most of the opportunities presented to them.
• Encourage the young individuals to be dedicated and responsible students: They were encouraged to dream big, work hard, and pursue their goals with passion and perseverance.
• Explain the scholarship award process in August: Clear details were provided regarding the date, time, and location of the ceremony, along with the necessary requirements to receive the scholarship.

The meeting concluded with an atmosphere of great optimism and hope. The young scholarship recipients and their families expressed their gratitude to the Becas Vallarta A.C. Association for their continued support and commitment to their education.
